Description

Founded in 2017 by former-NASA scientist Michael Sims, Ceres Robotics focuses on manufacturing robotic lunar rovers for surface operations in collaboration with NASA's Commercial Lunar Payload Services program. The company has two rover models: MarsokhodMass, a standard rover with a goal mass of less than 300kg, and Minikhod, a smaller rover with a mass of 15kg or less. Ceres Robotics is also working on the development of the CeresB3Lander, which will be used to land and deliver the rovers for lunar surface operations. The company aims to build habitats on the Moon, Mars, and beyond, and their robots and AI systems are designed to enable this vision. The Marsokhod rover is expected to be flight-ready by 2021, while the Minikhod rover is expected to be flight-ready by 2020.
