Manny Ruiz

Manny is the serial media entrepreneur and founder of Hispanicize Media Group who in his 28-year career in the experiential events and the communications industries has created iconic expos and media brands that have become dominant platforms of the U.S. Hispanic Market. Under his leadership, HMG is the parent company of the annual Hispanicize event (recognized as the “SXSW” of the U.S. Latino market), the digital content creators network DiMe Media, Hispanic Kitchen, and Latina Moms. Ruiz is also the co-founder of Mixed Reality Ventures, an early stage fund for mixed reality platforms targeting the U.S., Latin American and Iberian Peninsula marketplaces. Prior to HMG, Ruiz was the CEO and chairman of HispaniMark, the holding company of Hispanic PR Wire, Hispanic Digital Network and LatinClips. In 2007, Ruiz sold HispaniMark to United Business Media, the publicly traded, now former parent company of PR Newswire. In his communications career, Manny has won many honors including the Mayor's Key to the City of Miami, the Silver Anvil, the PR Week Campaign of the Year Award, and the PR Professional of the Year Award from the Hispanic Public Relations Association. In 1993, when he was still a journalist, Ruiz was part of The Miami Herald staff that won the Pulitzer Prize for Community Service.
