Sling Health is a nationwide network of medical bioengineering, design, and entrepreneurship incubators at top universities. Founded in 2013 at Washington University in St. Louis, it has since expanded to include prestigious institutions like Harvard, MIT, and the University of Pennsylvania. In collaboration with the American Medical Association and various sponsors, Sling Health forms teams of students from medical, engineering, and business backgrounds to address unmet needs in healthcare. The company provides mentorship, funding, and facilities for prototypes, as well as legal support to help these teams develop into successful companies. Since its inception, Sling Health has supported 133 students, resulting in the creation of 12 companies that have collectively raised over $2.5 million.
