Founded in 2000 as an affiliate of Mizuho Financial Group, Mizuho Capital Partners was established to provide diverse financing options for small and medium-sized businesses in Japan. They were the first Japanese banking group to create a specialized entity for management buyouts (MBOs) and have since been involved in four MBO funds totaling 80 billion yen. In addition, they manage three mezzanine funds and prioritize long-term value creation for their investee companies, aiming for IPO exits. With a track record of over half of their investee companies achieving IPOs, Mizuho Capital Partners is a leading player in the Japanese market.
