Jersey's public pension fund, PECRS, was established in 1967 and provides pensions to full-time civil servants and manual workers, as well as their spouses, civil partners, and children. The fund also offers ill health and death-in-service cover and is governed by a committee of management and an investment subcommittee. The nine administrative departments of the Government of Jersey include the Office of the Chief Executive, Treasury and Exchequer, Customer and Local Services, Children, Young People, Education and Skills, Health and Community Services, Justice and Home Affairs, Growth, Housing and Environment, and Strategic Policy, Performance and Population.
