The Danish initiative, Open Entrepreneurship, aims to create a world-leading technology commercialization community by connecting experienced entrepreneurs with researchers from Danish universities very early on to explore commercial and innovative opportunities. By doing so, they hope to catalyze research and knowledge into products or processes that generate value to society. The initiative is collaborative, with Danish partner universities and UC Berkeley as a strategic partner, and is powered by the Danish Industry Foundation and the Danish Ministry of Higher Education and Science. All methods used are research-based and recognized, and the goal is to expand and further develop the existing ecosystem into a technology commercialization community by building bridges between industry, universities, sectors, and national borders.
