Based in New York City, the Children's Tumor Foundation, also known as CTF, focuses on driving innovative research, expanding knowledge, and advancing care for individuals and families affected by neurofibromatosis. Neurofibromatosis, or NF, encompasses three distinct disorders - NF1, NF2, and schwannomatosis - and affects approximately 1 in every 3,000 births worldwide. The condition can lead to various complications such as blindness, deafness, bone abnormalities, disfigurement, learning disabilities, disabling pain, and cancer. While there is currently no cure for NF, the foundation's mission is to work towards ending the condition by supporting research efforts and improving the health and well-being of those affected.
