The Council on Hemispheric Affairs (COHA) is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 1975 to increase the importance of the inter-American relationship and encourage the formulation of rational and constructive U.S. policies towards Latin America. COHA deals with political, economic, and diplomatic issues and responds to the economic and political challenges confronting the nations of the hemisphere. Additionally, COHA produces a bi-weekly publication, the Washington Report on the Hemisphere, which is circulated globally to various universities and organizations. COHA is based in Washington, D.C.
