Guerman Aliev

Mr. Guerman Aliev is a Managing Partner of Cipher Technologies Management. Prior to founding Cipher Technologies, Guerman ran Altpoint Ventures, a successful venture capital firm with the focus on consumer industries, market places, and financial technology sectors. Previously, Mr. Aliev has been employed with Interros International Investments Limited (Interros) and its group of companies in multiple positions of executive capacity. From 2003 to 2008, Mr. Aliev was the Head of the Corporate and Investment Bank for Rosbank (acquired by Societe Generale), at the time the second largest non-government bank in Russia. From 1995 to 2002, Mr. Aliev was a Director of Equity Markets for Merrill Lynch in both New York and London and was a principal team member originating and executing numerous capital markets and M&A transactions across Europe, Middle East, Africa and Japan. Mr. Aliev received a Masters Degree in Finance from London Business School and a Masters in Philosophy of Physics from Columbia University.
