Ken DeAngelis

Ken DeAngelis is a Co-Founder of Austin Ventures and has served as a General Partner since 1981. During his more than 30-year career at AV, Ken has worked with companies at all stages of development in a wide range of industries. In recent years, he has focused on technology-enabled service businesses, as well as Internet and logistics companies. Early in his career, Ken was with the Merchant Banking division of the Bank of Boston. Ken received his MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and his BA from Harvard University. He has been active in the Austin community for many years. He is a member of UT Austin's Development Board and the Advisory Council of the UT McCombs School of Business, having served as a Past Chairman. He is also Past Chairman of the local PBS affiliate, KLRU-TV, and is currently an advisor to its CEO regarding Austin City Limits. In addition, Ken is Chairman of the Board of Governors for Hyde Schools, headquartered in Bath, Maine.

Joe Aragona is a founder and General Partner of Austin Ventures. AV has over $3 billion under management and is the most active venture and growth equity firm in Texas and among the most established in the nation. Since joining AV in 1982, Joe has focused on information technology and growth equity investing and has worked with software, communications, semiconductor and service companies. Prior to joining Austin Ventures, Joe earned both his MBA and bachelor's degree from Harvard University and worked in the Merchant Banking Group of the Bank of Boston and Chemical Bank. Joe was a member of the Board of Directors of the National Venture Capital Association (NVCA) from 1999 - 2006, chaired its Research Committee, and served as Chairman of the Board. Joe is also a member of the Board of Directors of Casa Montessori, an early childhood development center.
