John Avirett

Mr. John Avirett serves as a Partner at StepStone Group.He serves as Board Member at DuploCloud. Mr. Avirett is a member of the private equity team, focusing on venture capital and growth equity investments. Prior to StepStone, Mr. Avirett was a general partner with Greenspring Associates, a venture capital and growth equity investment firm that merged with StepStone in 2021. Before that, he was an associate at Zurich Financial Services. He served as a Board Observer at Demandbase. He also serves as a Board Member at Altos Ventures and UserTesting. He also serves as a Board Member at Salsify and a Board Observer at RTS. He is responsible for sourcing and due diligence efforts on fund, direct and secondary investments, and is also involved in the Greenspring Associate Portfolio Impact Program. He currently serves on the board of Volition Capital, Meritech Capital, Columbia Capital, Elephant, Bedrock Capital, PeakSpan Capital, Silversmith Capital Partners, and Scale Venture Partners. He was a board observer of WalkMe, Scopely, OneLogin, Recycle Track Systems (RTS), Ceros, and Salsify. He served as a Board Member at Workfront. Mr. Avirett graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a BA in political science and a minor in economics.
