Martha Murray

Martha Murray, M.D., is founder and chief medical officer of Miach Orthopaedics. She is also a professor of orthopaedic surgery at Harvard Medical School and a practicing orthopaedic surgeon in the Sports Medicine Division at Boston Children’s Hospital. Murray has specialized in the care of patients with knee injuries, and she is internationally recognized as an expert in the care of sports injuries of the knee, including ACL, meniscus and osteochondritis dissecans lesions, for the past 15 years. Murray pioneered the BEAR implant with initial research funding provided by the NFL Players Association, Boston Children’s Hospital and the National Institutes of Health. Murray has over 70 publications in the area of ACL and meniscus surgery. She has won multiple national awards for her work advancing the care of patients with these injuries, including the Kappa Delta and Cabaud Memorial Awards, respectively the highest research awards in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine. Murray received her master’s degree in materials science and engineering from Stanford University and her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania. She completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at Harvard Medical School and fellowships in pediatric orthopedics and sports medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital.
