Founded in 2009, East Ventures has invested in over 250 tech companies across Southeast Asia, including Tokopedia and Traveloka, the first unicorn companies in Indonesia. The firm is sector-agnostic, investing in companies across e-commerce, software, marketplaces, game, application, and information technology sectors. In 2018, East Ventures set up a growth-stage fund named EV Growth to support and capitalize on the development of their ecosystem. The firm has been recognized as the most consistent top-performing VC fund globally by Preqin and the most active investor in SEA and Indonesia by various media. East Ventures is committed to achieving sustainable development and bringing positive impacts to society through its initiatives and ESG-embedded practices, and is the first venture capital firm in Indonesia to sign the Principles of Responsible Investment (PRI) supported by the United Nations (UN).
