The founding team of Nayi Disha, which includes parents and siblings of people with IDD, aims to equip parents with relevant information to improve their parenting abilities and expand the list of care/education/therapy options available to their children. As a registered NGO, Nayi Disha provides families with a support ecosystem throughout their journey, including a national directory of verified medical professionals, parent communities and support groups, and evidence-based useful information resources. Additionally, Nayi Disha offers a free helpline in six languages and has recently upgraded its mobile-friendly website to provide accessibility of language, medium, and right information.
