Ken co-founded SunBridge partners and its predecessor Equitek Capital, played a significant role in developing the firms’ research-based investment strategy, and has been actively involved across all investments, including Alien Technology, Flarion Technologies, NITV and Viztec. He is currently a member of the the Board of Directors of Alien Technology, NITV, and the nonprofit oceanearth. From 1996 to March 2000, Ken served as the Director of Research for the Forbes published, monthly technology investment newsletter, the Gilder Technology Report. As Director of Research, he was responsible for technology assessment, trend analysis, market research and company evaluation in the areas of semiconductors, computers, displays, software, consumer electronics, Internet, e-commerce, fiber, satellites, wireless, telephony, and cable technologies. In 1993, Ken founded E—Consulting, a technology-focused consulting and research firm offering services that included technology assessment, market research, strategic planning, business development, joint venture formation, mergers and acquisitions. Ken has over 15 years experience in the technical evaluation, testing, installation and maintenance of electronic security systems, including wired and wireless (RF, IR, ultrasonic, and acoustic) intrusion and fire detection sensors, video surveillance, access control, building automation, uninterruptible power supplies and real-time monitoring equipment. Ken graduated with honors in two Bachelors degree programs at UC Berkeley in 1987. He attended the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University from 1987 to 1989.

John began his career as an engineer in the aerospace industry for the General Electric Astro-Space Division. At General Electric, he worked as a propulsion and orbit specialist on the Defense Satellite Communication System (DSCS) satellite program. Working in the design, construction, launch, and in-orbit operation of an advanced constellation of defense communications satellites, John experienced the challenges of working on high-technology projects to meet the most rigorous long-term requirements. Following work at General Electric, John earned an MBA from the University of Chicago and began a seven-year period of work in the field of currency derivative trading. He first worked at Merrill Lynch in New York as an Associate, and then joined NationsBank as a Senior Vice President. He subsequently became a Director in the currency trading group of Barclays Bank in London. At Barclays, he managed the Global Asia Portfolio of currency derivative products. One of John’s specialties was modeling of valuation for derivative products which has directly enabled him to design models to carry out valuations of SunBridge Partners portfolio companies.John received an MBA from the University of Chicago in 1993 and a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from Penn State University in 1989.
