Andy Greenfield

Mr. Andrew Greenfield is a Co-Founder and serves as General Partner at TIA Ventures. His background is as an operator and lifelong entrepreneur, largely in the marketing research and services arena. He has founded and sold 3 companies and is the founder of the Thought into Action Entrepreneurship Institute at Colgate University. Mr. Greenfield serves as a Board Member at Critical Mix. He founded the Greenfield Consulting Group (now Firefly) in 1983 and built it into North America's leading qualitative marketing research firm. In 2002, he sold the Greenfield Consulting business to Millward Brown where he continued to serve as CEO until 2009. He served as Chairman of Global Qualitative until 2007 and also served on Millward Brown's global board of directors during 2005-2007. In 1993, he also founded Greenfield Online, the world's first web-based marketing research company, which became the leading provider of online panel data for conducting marketing research. He sold Greenfield Online to a private equity group in 1999. The company was subsequently taken public and then sold to Microsoft. In addition to ventures in the marketing research industry, he is also a dedicated philanthropist. He is the founder of The Greenfield Everyday Heroes Foundation and Thought into Action Institute (TIA) at Colgate University. Everyday Heroes is an organization that provides college scholarships to graduating high school seniors who have overcome extreme adversity. TIA is an institution that mentors young entrepreneurs by linking them with successful alumni entrepreneurs, who help guide them as they launch their new enterprises. The program has generated widespread interest with visiting entrepreneurs including Sir Richard Branson and Hamdi Ulukaya (founder of Chobani yogurt). In addition to being an advisor to Critical Mix, he serves on the board at G-Form Inc. (protective gear for humans and electronics). He was awarded the Ernst &Young Entrepreneur of the Year (2002) in the Business Services category. He holds a B.A. from Colgate University and an M.A. and A.B.D. in Philosophy from Brown University.
