A school and university for aspiring IT specialists will be built in Austin

Elon Musk is set to establish two educational institutions in Austin, Texas, with an initial contribution of $100 million to his charitable organisation, The Foundation.

The planned institutions will cater to elementary, middle, and high school students, focusing predominantly on STEM subjects: science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The Foundation aims to recruit experienced faculty and seek accreditation from the Commission on Institutions of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Initially, the school plans to enrol 50 students tuition-free.

If successful, the school initiative may evolve into a university, offering students opportunities for project development and laboratory experiments. Additionally, Musk has revealed plans to construct an entire city in Texas to accommodate employees from his companies, offering affordable housing options.
