Augmental developed a touch cap that can substitute a computer mouse
By inserting the MouthPad into the mouth, users can manipulate the cursor hands free

Augmental has unveiled a new touch-cap device called MouthPad that can replace a computer mouse.
The gadget, which resembles a sports or dental mouthguard, is inserted into the mouth and can be controlled using the tongue. With the touch of the tongue, users can scroll pages, control the cursor or keyboard, and talk while using the device.
MouthPad is compatible with devices running iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, and Linux via Bluetooth, and requires no additional software installation. It takes two hours to charge and provides up to five hours of continuous use.
While the device’s price is unknown, it will be made to order based on an individual’s dental image, and it is expected to benefit people with spinal cord injuries and other disabilities.
