Spotify representatives anticipate that by the end of Q2 2023, the number of active users will rise to 530 million.
Premium subscribers, who generate most of the company’s revenue, grew by 15% to 210 million.
Spotify’s founder, Daniel Ek, has predicted that one billion people will use the service by 2030, with annual profits of $100 billion, thanks to its investment in podcasts and audiobooks.
The acquisition of Heardle, a music quiz game, is part of Spotify’s strategy to attract and engage more music lovers while serving as a music discovery tool.
