Domo, an analytical firm, has released its annual Data Never Sleeps report, detailing global internet activity in a single minute.
According to the report, the number of internet users has surged to 5.2 billion, representing 64.6% of the world’s population, up from 2.1 billion a decade ago.
Notable findings include a rise in email volume from 204 million to 241 million per minute since 2013, and an increase in search queries from 2 to 6.3 million over the past decade.
However, streaming video views have declined, dropping from 114 years per minute during the 2022 lockdowns to just 43 years currently.
Additional insights from the report reveal that every minute sees 6,060 LinkedIn resumes submitted, 30 DDoS attacks, 69,400 streams of Taylor Swift songs, and 6,944 queries processed by ChatGPT users.
