The leadership of the cloud solutions company Salesforce urged its managers to evaluate employees and detect the 10% with minimum performance.
CEO Marc Benioff is confident that such actions are an integral part of running a large company. He thinks the firm needs to be ready to act when the market changes: sooner or later there comes a sad moment when you have to part with people.
According to Benioff, the company’s staff has grown by 30,000 people during the pandemic. In November 2022, top management urged employees to return from remote work to offices and laid off hundreds of people.
The employees themselves note that the company used to make sure that it was comfortable to work at. Now Salesforce only cares about performance and sales.
