Amazon Prime is preparing a documentary on the FTX failure
The documentary would be an eight episode series by Amazon’s production company AGBO

An eight-episode limited series on the FTX scandal is due to be launched on Amazon by Joe and Anthony Russo’s production company, AGBO.
David Weil is slated to write the pilot and executive producing, while the Russos are reportedly in talks to direct and executive produce. Executive producers for AGBO include Mike Larocca, Scott Nemes, Angela Russo-Otstot and Natalie Laine Williams.
Politics, academia, technology, crime, sex, narcotics and the direction of modern finance are just a few of the many subjects the story plot would touch on.
The sitcom will make its Amazon debut in the spring of 2023. Jennifer Salke, the head of Amazon studios, said that Amazon is happy to work with David, Joe, Anthony and the AGBO team to introduce the story to the Prime Video audience.
Since the 2019 launch, FTX has grown to become one of the biggest and best known cryptocurrency exchanges in the world. However, the company has fallen apart in recent weeks with claims of more than $2 billion in customer funds being stolen and federal officials pursuing investigations.
Sam Bankman-Fried was the former CEO and co-founder of FTX and has also been the subject of significant investigation.
Weil has worked with the Russos and AGBO twice; he reportedly was hired to rework ‘Citadel.’ This is Weil’s third Amazon project as the creator and showrunner of the conspiracy thriller series ‘Hunters’ which will conclude with its forthcoming second season.
The Russos are represented by CAA and Greenberg Glusker Fields Claman & Machtinger LLP. CAA and Lichter Grossman are Weil’s agents.
