China wants to ban its citizens from using Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and AirDrop
Chinese authorities drafted a bill banning wireless communications

The Chinese government has proposed a ban on the use of wireless communication technologies among its citizens. Under this bill, operators will be required to monitor data transmitted through short-range Internet networks such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and AirDrop.
The intention behind this measure is to enable authorities to combat the proliferation of illegal content while safeguarding national security and public interests. Operators will be obligated to disclose the sources of any prohibited information they receive to government authorities.
Additionally, users will be prohibited from using these services to share or transmit illegal content and must take preventive measures to avoid generating, copying, or spreading unsolicited content.
Apple had previously implemented restrictions on AirDrop in China due to its misuse by local dissenters to disseminate critical emails about Chinese President Xi Jinping.
