Security firm Cymulate raises $70 million in Series D

Cymulate, a Tel-Aviv and New York-based company, has recently concluded its Series D fundraising round with $70 million.

The company has built a platform to help companies protect against cybercrime, by automatically and continuously stress testing their networks against potential attacks with simulations, and by providing guidance on how to secure their systems and preempt real attacks.

The Series D round was intended to boost Cymulate’s ability to service the massive demand for its products.

Eyal Wachsman, Cymulate’s CEO, describes his product as a platform that offers on-premise and cloud networks, performing attack simulations for endpoints, email and web gateways.

He notes: “We are providing our customers with a different approach for how to do cybersecurity and get insights [on] all the products already implemented in a network.”

This comes as welcome news. According to the latest research, the cost of cybercrime is set to reach $10.5 trillion by 2025, and it has already been growing by 15% annually. As a result, companies are desperate for AI-powered tools that would help them to mitigate the losses.
