Unitree, a Chinese company, offers a GPT-enabled robot dog with enhanced functionality

Unitree, the Chinese company, launched the second-generation Go2 robotic companion dog with GPT support. The language model enables Go2 to understand its owner’s intentions and environment.

The robot weighs 15 kg, stands at approximately 40 cm tall, and measures 70 cm in length. It can operate for up to two hours on a single charge while carrying a load of up to 7 kg. Equipped with a camera and orientation system, Go2 can film and navigate its surroundings.

The base Go2 model is priced at $1600 and travels at 9 km/h. The Pro model, costing $2800, accelerates to 12.6 km/h, allowing it to follow the user during a run. The highest-priced Go2 model reaches $3050.

Go2 excels in various tasks, including running with the user, carrying loads, descending stairs, and performing gymnastic tricks. If it fails to execute a command, it even offers an apology by dancing.
