Gamers comprise almost half of the world’s population, according to recent stats
According to a study, around 3.7 billion individuals engage in computer games

The global gaming community has grown to encompass 3.7 billion individuals – almost half of the world’s population enjoys playing computer games. However, experts from DFC Intelligence, an analytical company that conducted the study, argue that this figure is “rather pointless” since it includes anyone who plays, even sporadically, on their smartphones.
According to the experts, the active audience, or those who regularly play video games on consoles or powerful computers, accounts for only 10% of the total player count. This group comprises approximately 300 million individuals, with the majority residing in North America, Western Europe, and Japan.
It was reported that the government of Saudi Arabia is investing $38 billion into the video game industry, with the goal of becoming a world leader in this field. Around 21 million people in Saudi Arabia, or roughly 58% of the population, play computer games, compared to 66% in the US.
