iPhone maker establishes its authority in Hollywood with $1 billion annual investment
Apple will release its films in theatres as part of its expansion in the entertainment industry

Apple is in talks with film studios to bring their movies to thousands of theatres, as the company seeks to raise its profile in Hollywood and expand its reach beyond its Apple TV+ streaming service.
With an estimated 20 to 40 million subscribers, Apple TV+ lags behind its main competitors, Netflix and Disney+.
In the past, Apple’s original content has been limited to its streaming platform and a small number of theatres. However, the company is now committed to ensuring its films receive broader theatrical distribution.
Upcoming releases include the detective thriller “The Killers of the Flower Moon” directed by Martin Scorsese, the spy thriller “Argyle” by Matthew Vaughn, and the historical drama “Napoleon” by Ridley Scott.
Apple is reportedly prepared to spend $1 billion annually to promote its films.
