Louis Vuitton has plans to unveil a digital rendition of its iconic chest
The esteemed fashion house will initiate the sale of chests as NFTs
The iconic French fashion house, Louis Vuitton, has announced its venture into the world of non-fungible tokens (NFT) by introducing a digital replica of their legendary travel chest. Since the mid-19th century, the company has been renowned for crafting these remarkable chests.
The VIA Treasure Trunk tokens, valued at €39,000 each, are uniquely linked to individual users and possess the characteristic of being non-transferable, known as Soulbound tokens.
According to Louis Vuitton, the digital chest aims to cater to those who seek to explore new realms and embrace novel aspirations. The company plans to release several hundred NFTs through pre-order, providing multiple payment options, including cryptocurrencies.
In a previous endeavor to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the brand’s founder, Louis Vuitton, the fashion house launched a game called “Louis: The Game.” As part of the gaming experience, players are tasked with discovering 30 hidden NFTs within the metaverse.
