Meta joined the chatbot race and launched a large language model

Zuckerberg’s corporation will offer a new LLaMA tool which helps you create chatbots

Meta Platforms Inc. has entered the chatbot market with its newest offering, LLaMA, a research tool for creating chatbots and other products based on artificial intelligence.

The programme is Meta’s newest offering in the field of large language models, which have shown promise in generating text, having conversations, summarising written material, and solving complicated tasks, according to CEO Mark Zuckerberg.

While Facebook and Instagram do not currently use LLaMA, the social media giant intends to grant AI researchers access to the technology. Zuckerberg has stated that Meta is committed to an open style of research.

Large language models, such as Microsoft-owned OpenAI GPT-3, Google’s LaMDA, and Meta’s LLaMA, are being developed and tested in chatbots and search engines, raising concerns over their sometimes-inappropriate responses and glitches.

Open-sourcing large language models can ensure transparency and accountability in their development and use, which is crucial for ethical and responsible implementation of AI technology.
