Bing will enable users to create images by sharing a description with AI

Bing, Microsoft’s search engine, has announced a new feature called the Bing Image Creator. This feature is integrated into Bing’s chatbot and allows users to create images simply by telling the software what they want to see. The images are generated using an advanced version of OpenAI’s DALL-E model.

To create an image using the Image Creator, users need to provide a description of the desired content, along with additional context such as location or activity, and choose an art style. Once this information is provided, the Image Creator will generate an image based on the user’s input.

The Image Creator is also available as an integrated feature in Microsoft’s Edge browser. Users can access it by clicking on a small icon located on the Edge sidebar.

Bing’s chatbot has three modes of response: creative, balanced, and precise. The creative mode includes responses that are imaginative and original, while the precise mode favours factual and concise answers. Initially, the Image Creator will only be available in the creative mode.
