Retailer dream tool helps adjust websites to buyers’ needs and gets more funding
In-session marketing software has just raised $28 million
ZineOne, an AI driven intelligent customer engagement platform, just concluded its Series C fundraising campaign with $28 million. The fundraising round was led by SignalFire, with participation from Norwest and others. The company is one of the latest, and definitely a most promising in-session marketing tool.
In-session marketing is a form of inbound marketing that attempts to tailor the contents of a site or app and influence the behavior of users in real time, with the purpose of encouraging purchase of items. This rings music in the retailer’s ears. ZineOne’s product is particularly useful, against the backdrop of Microsoft’s latest findings that revealed that people only spend about 10 seconds on a company’s homepage if the page doesn’t immediately connect with a marketing message. Time is of importance.
ZineOne was founded by Debjani Deb, Manish Malhotra and Arnab Mukherjee – all of whom had previously experienced issues with customer tracking, in their previous jobs. Debjabi Deb previously co-founded EmPower, a tool for social media research and media monitoring. Manish Malhotra founded Social Lair – a tool for building social media capabilities for large enterprises. Arnab Mukherjee, previously worked at Oracle and launched Udichi – a tool for computing “big data” analysis.
