United Arab Emirates is going big on the Metaverse
Blockchain and digital assets in the Metaverse are rapidly explored in the UAE, with the global market forecast of $4 billion
Dubai and Abu Dhabi are the first locations Metaverse Holdings chose for the worldwide Metaverse debut. The Emirates will be the first hub in the virtual world that is used simulating real-life events and locations.
Their virtual world will reflect actual places and events; a beta version is planned for launch in the fourth quarter of 2022. Users will experience the monuments and attractions of both cities from the comfort of their homes.
The project will focus on virtual spaces that are visually, topographically and geometrically scaled to replicate the most realistic feeling in the Dubai and Abu Dhabi Metaverse. There is space for endless, interconnected virtual communities using virtual reality headsets, augmented reality glasses, smartphone apps and other devices.
More locations across the Emirates are considered for inclusion after the beta version. They also have plans to look into Saudi Arabia and Qatar as prospective candidates for future virtual nations.
